About This Program
Our Class A CDL program is a comprehensive, FMCSA-compliant training course designed to take you from permit to license. You will complete the required Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) theory online, then move into hands-on Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) skills training on our range and public roads. Training runs Monday through Saturday, with weekend-only options available for students who work during the week. Classes start every Monday and every Saturday.
Available Endorsements
HazMat endorsement note: Applicants must pass a written exam and submit to a TSA background screening. Schedule at universalenroll.dhs.gov. The HazMat endorsement will not appear on a Commercial Learner's Permit.
Course Content
- General Knowledge — federal regulations, vehicle systems, and safe driving practices
- Combination Vehicles — coupling/uncoupling, trailer handling, and stability
- Air Brakes — inspection, operation, and emergency procedures
- CLP (Commercial Learner's Permit) preparation and written exam review
- Online ELDT Theory component (FMCSA-required)
- Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) range skills: pre-trip inspection, basic controls, backing maneuvers
- Road driving: lane management, intersections, highway driving, and city driving
- CDL skills test preparation
