Financing Options

There are more ways to fund your training than most people realize. Here are the most common options available to our students.

Federal Program

WIOA Workforce Grants

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides federally funded training grants for eligible individuals. Qualifying students may have their full tuition covered at no cost.

  • Available to unemployed or underemployed adults
  • Covers tuition and some related expenses
  • Apply through your local Alabama Career Center
  • No repayment required if eligibility is met
Federal Aid

Pell Grant

If Entry Level Training Academy participates in federal Title IV funding, eligible students may qualify for Pell Grant assistance. Contact our admissions team to confirm current eligibility.

  • Need-based federal grant — no repayment
  • Eligibility determined by FAFSA application
  • Can cover partial or full tuition costs
  • Available to U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens
Veterans

Veterans Benefits (GI Bill)

Eligible veterans and service members may be able to use VA education benefits to fund their CDL training. We encourage veterans to contact our admissions team to explore available options.

  • Post-9/11 GI Bill and Montgomery GI Bill may apply
  • Covers tuition and may include housing allowance
  • Contact the VA to verify program approval status
  • Surviving spouses and dependents may also qualify
Employer-Paid

Employer Sponsorship

Some employers — particularly trucking companies and logistics firms — will sponsor CDL training in exchange for a commitment to work for them after graduation. Ask our placement team about current sponsorship opportunities.

  • Employer pays tuition upfront
  • Typically requires a 1–2 year work commitment
  • Common with regional and national carriers
  • Our placement team can connect you with sponsors
In-House

Payment Plans

We understand that paying tuition in full upfront is not always possible. We offer flexible payment plan arrangements — contact our admissions office to discuss options that work for your situation.

  • Split tuition into manageable installments
  • Arrangements made on a case-by-case basis
  • No third-party lender required
  • Speak directly with our admissions team
State Program

Alabama Career Center Funding

Alabama Career Centers administer state and federal workforce funding for job training. A career counselor can assess your eligibility for multiple programs in a single visit.

  • One-stop shop for workforce funding
  • Locations across Alabama including Montgomery
  • Free eligibility assessment and career counseling
  • Can combine multiple funding sources
